Prime Time Preschool Family Reading

Prime Time Preschool will be held at the Lexington Library.  Prime Time Preschool is an interactive program featuring story sharing, literary exploration via play and group discussion.

A trained preschool facilitator reads and leads a group discussion of beautifully illustrated and award-winning children’s books which include classic stories as well as new tales that promote reading and school readiness. Another facilitator then leads the children and their parents through center-based activities based on the text that encourages increased comprehension and critical thinking. The program models strategies that encourage meaningful at-home reading behavior between parents/caregivers and their young children.

Prime Time Preschool is open to preschool children and their parents/caregivers.  All Prime Time Preschool programs are free to participants and include complimentary books, nutritious meals, and door prizes.
The first session of Prime Time Family Reading Time will be held on Saturday, February 16, at 11:00 a.m.  The remaining sessions will be held on the next five Saturday mornings.  A light brunch will be served at 11:00 a.m., followed by the bilingual reading program at 11:30 a.m.  The Prime Time Reading program targets K-5 grade children and their families.  Please stop by or call the Library to register your family.  Prime Time is sponsored by Humanities Nebraska and the Lexington Public Library.
