The Library is still closed, but we are slowly getting closer to opening. Our book drop has been closed, however, you can return books that are check out by calling us at 324-2151, to let us know you are coming over, and we will put a box out for you to deposit your books into, at the back door. There will be no late fees! The books will stay in quarantine a few days before they become available to check out again. We are doing our best to keep everyone healthy!
Lexington Library offers curb side delivery. If someone has a specific book they would like to check out, they can call the library (324-2151). We will pull the books from the shelves, check them out to them and bag them. When they arrive at the library they can either pick them up in the lobby or they can call us and someone will bring them out to them. Limit 10 books and 5 DVDs.
We have been adding more free resources to the home page of our site. Many companies have stepped up and offered their sites for use without charge at this time. There are items for all ages!There is a link on our home page for Tumble Books. This is a site full of free books and activities, to help chase away the boredom of staying inside.
The Lexington Public Library has suspending all programming at this time. All meeting room use by outside groups has also been suspended. Library programs suspended include book clubs, Novel Stitchers, story time, and Prime Time reading. If you have any questions, feel free to call us at 324-2151.
